Founded in 2012 in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA by artist Stephanie Fishwick, the studio first gained recognition for Stephanie's intricately collaged and calligraphed invitations for notable tastemaker and entrepreneur Lauren Santo Domingo and her brand Moda Operandi. Special projects for weddings, royalty, celebrities, and top fashion and lifestyle brands soon followed. Stephanie Fishwick's artwork has expanded to adorn a diverse array of products: from couture wedding gowns to ready-to-wear dresses, wallpapers and tableware. Her work even features on luggage and a very large ballroom runner for a wedding in the Palace of Versailles.

Combining a respect for foundations with a rule-breaking spirit, Stephanie creates one-of-a-kind collages and calligraphy styles. Drawing inspiration from decorative arts, vanitas painting, goth music, fairy tales and fashion, she is as comfortable working with a vintage nib and brushes as she is with creating digital collage on the computer. Stephanie employs a variety of calligraphic styles, inks, botanical clippings, and watercolors to render words, digital collage and illustrations. Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts. After a few years of working in graphic design studios, she purchased calligraphy tools at a small shop in Paris, and her creative focus shifted towards pen, ink, and collage. Formal studies of calligraphy followed with Master Calligraphers, including Chief White House Calligrapher Pat Blair.

Stephanie lives in downtown Charlottesville, with her husband James, son Jarvis and their cats.
