Studio Manager Social Media Associate

About Stephanie Fishwick Calligraphy & Illustration

Founded in 2012 in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA by artist Stephanie Fishwick, the studio first gained recognition for Stephanie's intricately collaged and calligraphed invitations for notable tastemaker and entrepreneur Lauren Santo Domingo and her brand Moda Operandi. Special projects for weddings, royalty, celebrities, and top fashion and lifestyle brands soon followed. Stephanie Fishwick's artwork has expanded to adorn a diverse array of products: from couture wedding gowns to ready-to-wear dresses, wallpapers and tableware. Her work even features on luggage and a very large ballroom runner for a wedding in the Palace of Versailles. More about Stephanie and her work here.

Studio Values

  • Honor the original artistic work, innovation, usefulness and beauty as the foundation of our business product.

    • Transparent and consistent communication throughout every project phase, ensuring clients always have clarity on progress, timelines, and deliverables.

    • We begin every relationship by deeply listening to our clients' visions and desired outcomes, taking the time to truly understand not just their stated needs but also the underlying aspirations for their wedding or event.

    • As a leader in the wedding industry and luxury product space we exceed client expectations and deliver (not only) a beautiful product, but a highly attuned process by which we apply the same standards to our business operations and project management, as we do to the actual art product.

    • Value both immediate deliverables and long-term creative evolution: the balance between creative exploration and commercial growth

    • Preserving quality time for in-house projects

    • Recognize that our best work comes from allowing space for experimentation; creative time leads to innovation

    • Scale thoughtfully to preserve artistic quality, brand integrity and innovation

    • Build partnerships that respect our creative process

STUDIO MANAGER

The Studio Manager serves as the operational backbone of our studio, ensuring exceptional client experience while managing end-to-end project workflows. This role begins with a strong focus on project management and studio operations, overseeing our couture stationery services and private commissions, while also collaborating with Stephanie and her external teams (business development, lawyer, agent) on strategic growth initiatives into home, decoration, wallpaper and textiles. The ideal candidate will combine strong operational acumen with a dedication to exceptional service, ensuring our clients receive thoughtful, high-touch support throughout their journey with us, while also supporting the brand’s growth.

At the heart of our business lies the Charlottesville studio, a carefully cultivated environment where artistic exploration and client collaboration coexist and enhance one other. Stephanie is constantly generating new project ideas, experimenting with calligraphic and collage techniques, and developing collections through her creative practice. These self–directed projects are essential to our growth and have resulted in many of our most successful commissions and collections. We often describe these two aspects of the business by comparing the custom commissions to Couture and the studio capsule releases to Ready-to-Wear.

The Studio Manager plays a crucial role by:

  • Balancing immediate client needs with long-term creative development: Protecting dedicated time for Steph’s artistic exploration and development while managing and leading, as point person, our client projects and calendar.

  • Leading projects with our own in–house project management framework, honed through years of shepherding these commission–based projects. The feedback from our clients is consistently positive, but we regularly evolve it based on new technologies and hope that the Studio Manager will continue to improve upon it.
